Terms of Service

Making a Request
Contact me on discord with as many details as possible, including but not limited to: desired word count, genre, a link to your work, links to any character sheets, etc. (Be very specific.)I will reply with any clarifying questions and let you know if I'll take the request. Then I will state a price and begin working.

Writing Process
It can take me up to two months to finish your commission. I like to take my time to ensure that the work is of the best quality. I also self-edit along the way. I will contact the client with weekly updates on my writing.Editing Process
Depending on how long your work is, it can take me from a day to a month to read it all. I will suggest rewrites for sentences and leave comments on what I think of your work. I will answer any questions you have about my edits. I will use a stopwatch or another method agreed upon by myself and the client to track how long I spend editing.

Payments
The client is to pay me 50% of the stated payment upfront. Upon completion, the client will pay me the remaining 50% and I will give them the work.
All payments are to be made through PayPal and in USD.Refunds and Cancellations
I will refund the 50% if I am unable to finish the commission due to unforeseen circumstances.
If the client decides that they want to cancel their commission after I have completed more than half of it, I will keep their 50% of payment.

Rights

Writer's Rights
I have the right to refuse any request. I also have the right to drop a commissioner's project if they do not want to communicate professionally with me or if I am unable to complete the project.Commissioner's Rights
The commissioner has the right to request progress checks from me at any time and suggest any small edits while I am writing. The commissioner may only request one major edit (ex. rewriting an entire scene, changing a plot point, etc.) on the finished work.

What May Be Done with the Finished Work
The commissioner may add any changes to the work themselves after receiving it. If the work is shared anywhere for non-commercial purposes, I must be credited with writing the original.The commissioner may not use my writing for commercial or academic purposes.
